It got a little of his energy out before we went to the University Club to eat so mom and dad thought it was a great outing as well. Where I grew up, we called that a win-win!
We also recently took our second trip to the Louisville Science Center. Since finding out about the "Baby Crater" in the KidZone, we beelined it there and let Anderson have at it! He found several toys that we didn't have at home and that were really entertaining!
He also learned how to open and close a mailbox (using their fake mailbox) and that is now his chore at home. Hey, everyone has to earn their keep in this house.
On March 17, we took our second trip to the Louisville Zoo. Anderson seemed a bit more aware of the animals this time (which would be expected since a hippo tried to kiss him through glass and a polar bear yelled at a trainer for not feeding him fast enough), but he still could not get over the fantastic fences they display! We met up with some friends there and had a blast! It was sunny out so Anderson wore sunscreen for the first time! While trying to lather up his scalp, his hair began to take shape. Being the stylist he is, Richard worked with the part of the hair and molded it into a mohawk.
You might say we "rocked" the zoo! Ha! Get it! Anyway, Anderson was pretty excited to see that he was getting close to the size of a gorilla, although he really just wanted to crawl around outside of the gorilla area.
So, even though we have been busy, we have had a blast being out and about and learning new things!
My dear sweet friend. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy this blog. I get a little misty eyed reading your entries from time to time because of how close to home they are. I remember those firsts with Nate and Naomi like yesterday. There is such a joy in my heart as I read about my very best friend in the world getting to enjoy the magical moments of being a Mommy. I've ALWAYS been so proud of, and admired you Ruthie, and I've always known that you were extra special, but watching you be such an AMAZING Mother makes me see that you were more special than I ever realized. I love you dear friend, and your precious family. Xoxoxoxo
