A list of facts that Anderson has discovered and will share to save everyone time

Well, it turns out that this child does not need money from the queen (and I've only been teaching 5th grade for one year) or a treasure map to explore new places and discover new things.  I will share these on his behalf so that you can save time and not have to discover these things on your own.

1. When you listen to someone read to you, it is almost as fun as opening and closing the book.  Stories are extra fun when the reader changes the voices for the characters.

2. Car rides are much more exciting when someone is riding in the back seat with you.  Even though the mirror is there, back seat companionship is a real treasure.

3. It works better if you open the can...enough said.

4. Two balls in the hand is worth 200 in the pit (I think that is how the saying goes).

5. There is always time to cuddle.  Stop what you are doing and love on those you adore.  It will be worth it and you will feel much better afterwards.

6. When driving (even on a simulation), keep your eyes on the road.  Safety first!

7. If you don't want to share, make it less appealing to others.  This works well with blocks (as seen below), but will also work with food, drinks, and dirt (see #15).

8. If you want someone to kiss you, be persistent.  They will eventually get the hint.

9. Take naps.  They are necessary and refreshing for those who find themselves on the go more often than not.

10. Know what you want and go after it.  Whether it is running a marathon or just some butter substitute that you want, go at it with all you have.

11. Try out different hairstyles.  It will grow back and then you can look back at the pictures and say, "what was I thinking?" and laugh.

12. Options are important.  When trying to make a decision, lay out all of the choices so you can see them and then choose.  You will be certain you made the right call and will not have regret.

13. Styrofoam pits are exactly as much fun as they look.  It isn't often you can free fall without worrying about where your will land.  Take advantage of this opportunity whenever it is offered.

14. Moving furniture is cathartic.  It just takes one piece of furniture being moved to the exact right location and the world will be lifted from your shoulders.

15. Go ahead...eat a little dirt.  It won't hurt you and people will barely be able to tell you did it afterwards.

16.  Laugh!  Loud and proud!  Just laugh...no matter where you are or what others may think, make a scene with your laughter.  You will be surprised how contagious it truly is.

Who knew I could learn so many things from my child.  He is truly a blessing and I am enjoying watching each and every one of his new discoveries!
